Norman Piluke Gallery, DSM Photographic
The Norman Piluke Photo Gallery at DSM Photographic was established in 1987, located on the west end of downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada until it was sold in 2019. The walls of this private gallery were graced by Norman's unique collection of fine art photography, begun in 1980, depicting nature, nautical images, landscape, travel and wildlife images. The printing process in the 80s were all done in the darkroom until digital printing process took over.
All photographs in this site were personally captured by Norman Piluke and Joanie Piluke, his wife, during their travels. The images were individually printed by Norman "in house darkroom lab." By year 2000 the printers used were high resolution state of the art digital Epson Printers, using quality archival inks which produce brilliant colours and sharp detail on both photographic paper and canvas.
In the past, the gallery offered custom size printing to meet your needs. At present we are selling all our inventories framed or unframed prints and canvas laminated printed. All framed photographs (giclee on paper or canvas) are laminated for ultra violet protection and longevity. For custom framing, different options of framing are available, depending on your preference. For the photographs on canvas, they could be gallery wrapped (frameless) or with a floater frame (simple black or brown) or with the "Norman Piluke traditional framing."
DSM Photographic closed its doors in the original location at 648 Dufferin Street, Toronto in 2019.
